 13.3  FIRE-EScAPE STAIRcASES  13.3.3   A change in level of egress shall be achieved by an approved
                            means of egress where the elevation difference exceeds 0.54
 13.3.1   Fire-escape enclosure shall require construction, which is fireproof   meter.
 with sprinklers, alarms, fire detectors and fire resistant doors.
                            The maximum number of consecutive steps is 20, and minimum

                     13.3.5   Sufficient natural and mechanical lighting shall be provided with

                            floor.
 Spaced Exterior Stairs  13.3.6   The Fire-escape in all building types shall be clearly marked, and
                            provided with the minimum number of exits, according to E.H.S.
                            regulations.
                     13.3.7   Where an external stairway exists, it shall be ensured that in the
                            event of fire, it should not be blocked by smoke and flame from

                     13.3.8   The  design  of  staircases  shall  take  into  consideration  all  the
                            safety and fire fighting conditions and specifications approved
                            by the E.H.S..
                     13.3.9   The design of staircases shall be compartmentalized, fireproof
 Scissor Stairs at Core     and shall provide an exit stair or ramp arrangement for people
                            during emergency. The compartment shall have fire rated walls,
                            ceilings and doors with non-slippery flooring that can stand with
                            high heat temperature.

                     13.3.10  The staircase location shall be according to the following
                            requirements:
                            a) Easily approachable from any part of the building, in which
                              the farthest point shall not exceed 30.0 meters in distance.
